Over the last few months, we have been working to support two incredible initiatives in the Bolivian Andes: "Seeds of Resilience," supporting a women’s cooperative in Cochabamba, and "Deserts to Gardens," helping remote schools in Sacaca repair their vital greenhouses.

Thanks to your generosity, we have already raised approximately £5,000. However, as we prepared to send these funds, we realized that the "standard" way of doing things—a simple bank transfer—would be a disaster for the projects.

The 45% "Crisis Tax"

Bolivia is currently facing a severe economic crisis and a shortage of US dollars. If we send your donations digitally, the Bolivian banks will convert them at the "Official Rate," which is nearly 45% lower than the actual market value of the currency.

If we send it by bank: Almost half of your donation vanishes into bank fees and artificial exchange rates.

If we deliver it in person: By bringing the funds in cash (USD), we bypass the banks and ensure the projects receive the full market value. Your £50 donation actually does the work of nearly £100 on the ground.

Our Commitment to Transparency:

We believe that when you donate to a grassroots project, you deserve to see exactly where that money goes. By traveling to Bolivia in June 2026, we are taking on the role of "human couriers" to ensure 100% impact.

We will be filming the entire process:

The School Project: Documenting the specialized materials being bought in the city and handover to the partner charity Voserdem to deliver the materials to the schools.

The Womens project: Working with Agricultura y Fe to reach the women in Cochabamba and revisit the womens project with an update video.

Why We Need Your Help with This Fundraiser:

We are committed to this mission, and we are paying for our own accomadation, food and all video production costs out of our own pockets. However, the international flights to South America are a significant hurdle, currently costing around $2,000.

We are asking for your help to cover these travel costs. Think of this as a strategic investment: By funding our flights, you are "saving" over £2,200 of the project money from being lost to bank fees. It is the only way to ensure that every penny you’ve already given to the womens project and the schools actually reaches the soil.

The Goal

Our project fundraisers are currently at 30% of their goal. We have the legal capacity to carry up to $10,000 into the country—and we want to fill that capacity. We will continue to plug the main fundraisers until we leave, but we need to secure these flights first to make the mission a reality.
