BEAST Program

History:
During 2019/20, JCP Empowering Youth have been facilitating the 'BEAST Program' in Tasmania, Australia.
This program primarily works with at-risk and vulnerable young people. The program empowers youth toward the value of leadership. The program is unique to Australia and is proved to have a significant impact on the youth that have been accepted into the program.
The program is primarily funded by JCP Empowering Youth (in particular, Director Will Smith) and has received some individual funding from a small number of participant's referrers.
Why:
In order to continue and grow the program and it's genuine impact, we are seeking assistance with funding for participants who do not have a service provider to pay for them to attend the program. The funds will be used to pay for the entire program for particular participants who greatly need the program but may not be covered by a funding source.
The Program:
The BEAST Program is an intense program that works with young people in their own environments, on camps, activity days and on the street. Graduated participants have 0% offending rates, increased school attendance rates, have become student leaders in their school, some participants have been selected as CCYP Ambassadors, some have been nominated for the state volunteering awards.
As the program is primarily self funded, we want to hold an event on the 7th November 2020 titled 'BEAST Launch and Gala'. This event will assist in making the program more sustainable.
This page has been created to assist in raising funds in the lead up to that event. Any donated funds would be greatly appreciated and would be going toward a very genuine and impactful cause.
