<div>Hi, my name is Rosdarys Serna Montes. I am a Venezuelan doctor currently living and practising in Australia.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As many of you may know, the Venezuelan people have endured years of economic and humanitarian crisis. Millions of families have faced ongoing challenges in accessing food, medicines, and essential healthcare.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The recent earthquakes have added yet another devastating burden to people who were already living through incredibly difficult circumstances.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our healthcare system and emergency services are under immense strain, making it even more challenging for those affected to receive timely medical care and essential support.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Shortages of medical supplies, limited emergency resources, and the broader humanitarian situation mean that many families are now facing urgent needs with very little assistance available.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Watching this devastation unfold has been heartbreaking. Like many Venezuelans living abroad, I have felt the pain of seeing my people suffer while being unable to provide the medical care and support they urgently need.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Over the past few days, many friends, colleagues, and members of the community have reached out asking how they could help. Their generosity inspired me to create this fundraiser so that together we can support Venezuelan families during this incredibly difficult time and help meet their most urgent needs.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every donation will be transferred to a dedicated account used solely for this initiative. The funds will be used to purchase essential items including food, clean drinking water, medicines, baby formula, nappies, hygiene products, and other basic necessities for families affected by the earthquake.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As this campaign grows, I am committed to making the process as transparent as possible. I will provide regular updates on how the funds are being used and keep you informed about how and where the donations are being distributed. My goal is to ensure every donor can see the real impact of their generosity and know that every contribution is helping families affected by this tragedy.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am not a charity or a large organisation. I am simply a Venezuelan doctor who wants to help my people during one of their most difficult moments. Every contribution, regardless of its size, represents hope for a family trying to rebuild their lives.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with your family, friends, and community would mean just as much.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and solidarity. Together, we can remind the people of Venezuela that they are not alone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>God bless you all.
</div>

Support Venezuelan Families After the Earthquakes

<div>On 24 May 2025, the Taree region was devastated by one-in-500-year flooding event, that caused catastrophic damage to two local AIDA members dental clinics:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Manning Valley Dental, 1 Manning Street, Taree NSW – owned by Dr. Rupesh Phirangi
</div>
<div>Prakhya Dental, 24 Pulteney Street, Taree NSW – owned by Dr. Phani Prakhya
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The Manning River is flooding at a level never seen before at Taree, surpassing the previous 1929 record of six metres early that morning—and the waters are still rising.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For the first time in nearly a century of combined service, both clinics were inundated by floodwaters that reached waist height. The damage was catastrophic—dental chairs, sterilisation rooms, x-ray machines, IT systems, and clinic infrastructure were all submerged and likely unsalvageable. These practices now face closure while repairs and recovery are assessed.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>These two clinics serve as critical dental care providers for a 100km radius—supporting patients from nearby towns and remote communities who rely on their services for oral health and emergency care.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>️ Why We Need Your Help
</div>
<div>While both practices are doing everything they can to recover, the road ahead is long and costly. Your support will help:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Replace essential dental equipment
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Restore and refurbish clinic facilities
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Support staff wages and job security during downtime
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Reopen access to essential health services for the community
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every contribution—no matter how small—brings these practices one step closer to reopening. If you are unable to give, simply sharing this fundraiser with others can make a big difference.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Photos of the damage are available to show the full extent of the devastation.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>⚠️ Transparency &amp; Disclaimer
</div>
<div>Please note:
</div>
<div>This GoFundMe has been privately established to support the impacted clinics and their teams.
</div>
<div>AIDA is not collecting or managing any funds associated with this initiative.
</div>
<div>AIDA supports this cause as part of our commitment to community and peer support, but all donations go directly to the affected clinics.
</div>
<div>Transparency remains a top priority where donations are involved, and regular updates will be provided through the fundraiser.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In times like these, our collective strength is what helps rebuild hope. Thank you for standing beside our members, their staff, and the patients who depend on them.
</div>
<div><br />

<div>My Relationship to the Parties I’m Raising Funds For
</div>
<div>As a fellow AIDA member, I am raising funds on behalf of two of our members—Dr. Rupesh Phirangi of Manning Valley Dental and Dr. Phani Prakhya of Prakhya Dental—whose clinics were devastated by the unprecedented floods in Taree, NSW on 24 May 2025. All funds raised will be distributed directly to support these affected members.
</div>
<div>Funds will be used to buy equipment/ Consumables or Rebuild the practice
</div>

</div>
<div>1) My name is Dr. Sandeep, and I am a practicing dentist based in Canberra, Australia. I’m also a proud member of the Australian Indian Dental Association (AIDA)—a professional community of Indian-origin dental practitioners dedicated to supporting one another and giving back to the broader community.

<div><br />
</div>
<div>‍‍ My Connection to the Recipients
</div>
<div>This fundraiser is being launched on behalf of two fellow AIDA members:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Dr. Rupesh Phirangi – Owner of Manning Valley Dental, Taree NSW
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Dr. Phani Prakhya – Owner of Prakhya Dental, Taree NSW
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>2) All funds raised will go directly to Dr. Rupesh and Dr. Phani, and will be used specifically for:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Replacing essential dental equipment and consumables
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Refurbishing and repairing damaged clinic infrastructure
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>3) Purpose and Community Impact
</div>
<div>These two clinics are not just businesses—they are essential healthcare providers serving communities within a 100km radius. Many patients in nearby towns and rural areas depend on these practices for emergency care, routine dental services, and continuity of treatment. Their temporary closure has left many without options.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This fundraiser aims to help these dentists recover, rebuild, and reopen as quickly as possible—for the sake of their patients, staff, and the greater Taree community.
</div>
<div>4) How I’m Connected to Donors
</div>
<div>I am reaching out to:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Fellow dental professionals across Australia
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>AIDA members and affiliates
</div>

</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The broader public who wish to support local clinics and small healthcare businesses in need
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are sharing this campaign via email, WhatsApp, social media platforms, and community networks to reach as many people as possible.

Help Rebuild Two Flood-Damaged Dental Clinics in Taree, NSW

<strong>History:</strong><br /><br />During 2019/20, JCP Empowering Youth have been facilitating the '<strong>BEAST Program</strong>' in Tasmania, Australia. <br /><br />This program primarily works with at-risk and vulnerable young people. The program empowers youth toward the value of leadership. The program is unique to Australia and is proved to have a significant impact on the youth that have been accepted into the program. <br /><br />The program is primarily funded by JCP Empowering Youth (in particular, Director Will Smith) and has received some individual funding from a small number of participant's referrers. <br /><br /><strong>Why:</strong><br /><br />In order to continue and grow the program and it's genuine impact, we are seeking assistance with funding for participants who do not have a service provider to pay for them to attend the program. The funds will be used to pay for the entire program for particular participants who greatly need the program but may not be covered by a funding source. <br /><br /><strong>The Program:</strong><br /><br />The BEAST Program is an intense program that works with young people in their own environments, on camps, activity days and on the street. Graduated participants have 0% offending rates, increased school attendance rates, have become student leaders in their school, some participants have been selected as CCYP Ambassadors, some have been nominated for the state volunteering awards. <br /><br />As the program is primarily self funded, we want to hold an event on the <strong>7th November 2020</strong> titled '<strong>BEAST Launch and Gala</strong>'. This event will assist in making the program more sustainable. <br /><br />This page has been created to assist in raising funds in the lead up to that event. Any donated funds would be greatly appreciated and would be going toward a very genuine and impactful cause. <br /><br />Please refer to the following videos to see the impact from the program:<br /><br /><a href="https://www.facebook.com/JCPYouthPrograms/videos/2677260565846275"><a href="https://www.facebook.com/JCPYouthPrograms/videos/2677260565846275" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://www.facebook.com/JCPYouthPrograms/videos/2677260565846275</a></a><br /><br /><a href="https://youtu.be/RpiS10hZbtE"><a href="https://youtu.be/RpiS10hZbtE" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://youtu.be/RpiS10hZbtE</a></a><br /><br /><a href="https://www.facebook.com/abchobart/videos/2771522656417759"><a href="https://www.facebook.com/abchobart/videos/2771522656417759" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://www.facebook.com/abchobart/videos/2771522656417759</a></a><br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/50724414_1598422771132337_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" alt="50724414_1598422771132337_r.jpeg" />
