Fight for Titan's Freedom
Donation protected
It is with an exhausted mind and a very broken heart that I write this.
My name is Stacy and I am the proud mother of 3 wild, curious, loving pre-teens. I have a 13-year-old girl named Somiya, an 11-year-old boy named Saith, and a 10 year old boy named Titan.
He is where my story starts.
I am seeking help purchasing a wheelchair accessible van for my son, and needing help is something that has taken me years to come to terms with.
My son Titan has a rare genetic condition called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, and up until now I forced myself to believe everything was going to work out, that it would all be ok. We are officially living in the future I used to be so terrified of, and I am struggling to navigate this. My son’s condition is progressive and causes his muscles to deteriorate the older he gets and the more he grows, starting in his skeletal muscles and then moving into his lungs and eventually his beautiful heart.
Titan is very rapidly losing his mobility, much quicker than I expected or want to accept.
I am coming to you all today, asking that you please help me purchase him a wheelchair accessible van so he can have the freedom to live the life he deserves. I need to be able to provide him with a comfortable life so that he can process these devastating changes that are happening to his body, without worrying about being physically restricted.
Anything helps, it all adds up.
Thank-you very much
