Archie Skydiving for British Heart Foundation
For my 30th birthday, my brothers Rory and Hugo decided to treat me to a skydiving experience. Now, I’m fairly sure this was meant as a bit of a joke... but I see it as the perfect opportunity.
On 24th December 2019, our wonderful dad, Philip Lynn, sadly passed away from a cardiac arrest. His sudden loss left a huge hole in our hearts and we miss him every single day. Dad had this incredible way of connecting with people, my friends would go round just to see him, even when I wasn’t home. Over 400 people came to his funeral, a real testament to the impact he had on so many. He was an absolute role model to us and I’ll always be grateful for everything he gave to us lads - his guidance, his humour, his heart.
Over the years, I’ve felt a real urge to continue giving back and one cause that means a lot to me is the British Heart Foundation. The work they do is nothing short of remarkable - funding life-saving research and raising awareness. A few years ago, my friends Lauren, Goutham and I ran a party in London called Circulate and together we raised over £6,000 across two events. It was an experience we will cherish for the rest of our lives.
So, off the back of what was definitely a prank gift from my brothers, I’ll be throwing myself out of a plane this summer to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
Thanks so much for reading — and if you’re able to donate, I’d be hugely grateful.
