Help a Teacher, Herbalist and Seed-tender Get Back on their Feet

Our friend is a dedicated teacher and indigenous plant keeper who has spent years caring for the land, restoring damaged trees, and helping community members with their deep knowledge of plant medicine, indigenous storytelling and love of teaching children. Recently, their health has taken a difficult turn. Ongoing medical issues, worsened by surviving a year of transphobic violence from a neighbor, have limited their ability to work consistently, and they were laid off from their job. They have moved to a safer new home but it may take 45-60 days for unemployment checks to arrive.

We’re raising funds so they can stay on top of their bills and living expenses, including gas money to visit family and friends. This essential financial support will allow them to:

      •     Supplement food they are accessing through local food shelves.

      •    Apply for teaching or land stewardship work

      •     Continue sharing their knowledge with local communities

      •     Stay connected to the resources they depend on for healing and stability, such as friends and family
