<div><span>Our friend is a dedicated teacher and indigenous plant keeper who has spent years caring for the land, restoring damaged trees, and helping community members with their deep knowledge of plant medicine, indigenous storytelling and love of teaching children. Recently, their health has taken a difficult turn. Ongoing medical issues, worsened by surviving a year of transphobic violence from a neighbor, have limited their ability to work consistently, and they were laid off from their job. They have moved to a safer new home but it may take 45-60 days for unemployment checks to arrive.</span><br />
