Help Veronica Break Free and Rebuild After Years of Abuse
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Veronica Ong. For over 18 years, I was married to a man I now understand has Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD). It took me years—and the strength of my daughters—to see the truth: I was trapped in an emotionally, financially, and psychologically abusive relationship.
The Hidden Cost of Abuse
Throughout our marriage, I blamed myself. I worked hard to hold our family together, even as I constantly questioned his behavior—especially financially. I trusted him with my business, made him a director in my company, and supported him through countless questionable financial decisions. I even became a guarantor for a loan I never benefited from—a choice that now threatens everything I’ve built.
I didn’t know what NPD was until it nearly destroyed me. It wasn’t until my elder daughter said, “Mom, Dad is a narcissist,” that the fog began to lift. The gaslighting, the emotional control, the manipulation—it all made painful sense.
He also used violence against me. I stayed silent at first, hoping things could improve. But with the support of my daughters, I finally reported him. That was one of the most terrifying and empowering moments of my life.
Why I’m Raising Funds
Today, I’m bankrupt, emotionally drained, and fighting to regain my freedom. I’ve offered a €100,000 settlement to legally and financially separate from him—an amount he accepted. But I can’t access my only asset (my home) until the insolvency case is resolved, and I urgently need help to raise this money.
This house is in my name alone, purchased and maintained entirely by me. Still, he has demanded 40% of its value—despite having already taken large sums from me in the past through emotional coercion. This €100,000 is not something he deserves, but a way to finally end this torment.
How Your Support Will Help
Your donations will go directly toward:
The €100,000 settlement to finalize the separation and divorce.
Ongoing legal fees
Essential living expenses for myself and my daughters
Once I am legally free, I will sell my home and repay every euro raised here. I just need the chance to break free and start over.
Moving Forward, Together
I’m not sitting back. I’m making homemade kaya (a traditional jam) to earn every extra euro. My daughters are tutoring and working part-time on weekends. We are doing everything we can—but it’s not enough on our own.
This is more than a financial appeal. It’s a fight for freedom, dignity, and healing. A mother trying to protect her daughters and give them a stable future. Every contribution—whether it’s €5 or €500—brings us one step closer to peace.
If you can’t give, please consider sharing this page. Your support, in any form, means the world to us.
From the bottom of my heart,
Thank you.
With love and hope,
Veronica
