The Franks Family Support Fund

Tamela Franks was an amazing mother, daughter, friend, and a beloved member of our local community. Over the past year, she waged a valiant fight against cancer. On October 13th, 2017 she lost that fight. To her last day Tamela demonstrated dignity in the face of adversity, continued determination to take care of herself and her family, and the power of hope she had for her children’s futures.   

Tamela left behind two sons and a daughter, who are left to join together as a family in balancing the daily basic needs of life and establishing an income for their living (housing) expenses.  A few years ago, these children also lost their father.

Now Tamela’s children must prepare to navigate life with the loss of both parents. However the children would like to express their thanks for all the kind words comfort, thoughts, and support.

Proceeds raised through this GoFundMe account will go towards supporting Tamela’s 3 children as they adjust to a new life of parenting themselves and taking care of each other. Everyone knows the power and impact of community support and all monetary donations, regardless of size will make a difference in the lives of these children.  Let us come together and show our support and help Tamela’s children reach that hopeful future she envisioned for them.
