KINNEGAR 24-HOUR CHALLENGE
The Kinnegar team are challenging themselves to keep moving for 24-hours in aid of the Lough Swilly RNLI and the Donegal Mountain Rescue Team.
Between the 18 staff members, there will be someone running, cycling, hiking, swimming and weight lifting from 3pm Friday 1st, straight through until 3pm on Saturday 2nd July.
Thomas, Eoin, Chris Mc and Angela will get the odometer moving when they all take up hour slots on the road bike from 3-7pm. We'll have our "GO TEAM" signs at the ready when they cross the start/finish line at the gates of K2.
7-9pm is jam-packed. Sean and David will pass the tow float on The Kinnegar as they relay On/Off for a two hour swimming session in The Swilly.
Diego will challenge gravity with an Olympic Weightlifting session, and Chris P will lace his hiking boots before he hits the trail.
Laurie, Libby (Zac + Pico), Felix and Gavin will pass the torch from 9pm to 3am when they tackle the streets of Letterkenny, fields of Rathmullan and gravel paths of Gartan and Glenveagh.
Jack will ditch his surfboard in favour of his bike and swim cap from 3am to 5am.
Sean and David will be on the pigs back when they greet Saturday's sunrise hiking Muckish from 5am to 7am.
The Kinnegar cycling team made up of Rachel, Alberto, Rick and Libby will vie for the yellow Scraggy Bay jersey from 7am to 2pm.
Libby and Rachel will pass the baton to their mother, and Kinnegar bookkeeper Margaret who'll complete the final hour of the challenge on foot. Is anybody ready for a beer yet?
