My name is Sasha. I am a Jamaican native who resides in the United States. On the land I call home, Hurricane Melissa has left a trail of heartbreak and destruction. Entire neighborhoods have lost everything overnight—homes washed away, power lines down, and families now cut off in desperate need of help.

Many are trapped with no way to let loved ones know they are safe. Basic daily necessities—food, clean water, and shelter—are now out of reach. For some, even communication with family has been lost, and every day brings new uncertainty and fear.
