5th Annual Hunt Street Station Giving Tree

Tax deductible

For the 5th year in a row, we are keeping on the tradition from one of the first police stations in the US. Giving back to the Community. ( see story below)

Over the last four years, we have been privileged to help low-income families and their children living in our McDougall-Hunt neighborhood celebrate Christmas the way every Family deserves to. We will again partner with the Bailey Park Project and McDougall-Hunt Neighborhood Association to complete our fundraising goals. We ask for your assistance in helping us to bring joy to low-income families during this holiday season.

Any donation will go a long way to bringing joy to these families in a highly stressful time.

HISTORY OF GIVING TREE

Back in 1908, Captain Marquardt of Detroit's Metropolitan Police Department started a tradition of having a Christmas tree in the lobby of Hunt Street Station. Both the station's officers and members of the public placed gifts and money under the tree so that every child in the neighborhood could have a merry Christmas. Now, for the fifth time since reopening as a coworking space, we continue this tradition. Please join us in making the holidays just a little bit better for the children of Detroit by supporting the Hunt Street Station giving tree.

As part of the initiative, all proceeds from our fundraising will support the chosen families in our neighborhood. Their needs range from the essentials like shoes and winter clothing to toys and gifts that will make this holiday season special. Please support our efforts in any way you can.
