7th Annual Hunt Street Station Giving Tree
For the seventh consecutive year, we are proud to uphold a cherished tradition from one of the earliest police stations in the United States: giving back to our community.
Over the past six years, we have raised more than $12,000, enabling us to bring joy to low-income families and their children in the McDougall-Hunt neighborhood during the Christmas season. This year, we are once again partnering with the Bailey Park Project and the McDougall-Hunt Neighborhood Association to achieve our fundraising goals. We kindly ask for your support in spreading holiday cheer to these families during this challenging time.
Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant difference in bringing happiness to these families.
HISTORY OF THE GIVING TREE
In 1908, Captain Marquardt of Detroit's Metropolitan Police Department began a tradition of placing a Christmas tree in the lobby of Hunt Street Station. Officers and community members would leave gifts and donations under the tree to ensure every child in the neighborhood had a merry Christmas. Today, as a coworking space, we are honored to continue this tradition for the seventh year. Please join us in making the holidays brighter for the children of Detroit by supporting the Hunt Street Station Giving Tree.
All proceeds from our fundraising efforts will go directly to the selected families in our neighborhood. Their needs range from essential items like shoes and winter clothing to toys and gifts that will make this holiday season truly special. We appreciate any support you can provide.
Thank you,
Matt, Sina, Russell, and Carlito
