48 Miles for Suicide Prevention

This National Suicide Prevention Week, I'm running 48 miles in 24 hours to raise money to stop suicide. This will consist of running two miles every hour, from 3 pm on Friday, September 11, to 3 pm on Saturday, September, 12. Any money donated will go directly to AFSP.

In 2018, 48,000 Americans lost their lives to suicide. Suicide is a growing epidemic, now the second leading cause of death for people between the ages of 10 and 34.

Suicide began personally affecting me when I was 12 years old. My cousin Zac took his life at only 16, leading me to have suicidal thoughts of my own. When I was fifteen, my uncle Brian took his life at 45.

Feeling suicidal is not something to be ashamed of. Let's work together to end the stigma around discussing mental health and raise money to support this cause.
