Dear friends, family and colleagues,

The past year we have all seen the disastrous, destructive effects of violent conflict in the world, such as currently in Yemen, Ukraine and Sudan. Reading about this has made us, Julia and Megan, feeling increasingly more worried, sad and powerless. We find it devastating that innocent people, who want to live a happy, peaceful life like us, are forced to leave behind their home, and the lives they built.

To help these people, Julia and Megan want to do something positive and constructive. Therefore, in the night of 16 December, we will walk 40km (from The Hague to Rotterdam) to raise money for Stichting Vluchteling. Will you help us raise (more than) €1,000 by donating money?

We cannot emphasize enough that Stichting Vluchteling truly does amazing work. Stichting Vluchteling is a non-profit organization that helps civilians who are forced to flee from conflict and natural disasters. In 2022, they helped 1 million people in countries such as Yemen, Ukraine, Somalia and Afghanistan. They provide emergency aid, medical and psychosocial care, and combat malnutrition among adults and children. They also provide cash assistance, which enables people to build up a new live, which stimulates the local economy as well. How amazing!
