Our team is currently working to provide Food Aid Packages to internally displaced families throughout Afghanistan.

Context: 

- 22.3 Million Afghans are now at immediate risk of starvation. 

- Food prices have soared.

- Banks are still closed and access to cash is very limited. 

For this project, we are asking for donations to provide food packages for displaced families throughout the country. We plan to distribute to as many areas as possible and are actively evaluating distribution locations as new developments come to light.

Our first Food Aid distribution launched in the Dashte Badola area of Kabul on Tuesday, 24th August. With your support, we fed 1,000 people with lunch and dinner meals consisting of rice, meat, vegetables, bread and apples. 

Thanks to our pre-existing structure and operation on the ground, we are one of the first NGOs that have been able to provide immediate assistance to the most vulnerable. 

Your $20,000 donations provided 1,000 people with 2 meals a day for 2 weeks. 

Our second Food Aid program took place in Kunduz in October 2021. We were able to provide 300 families / 2000 people with food aid packages that will sustain them for a month.

BUT WE CAN’T STOP HERE. 

The nation’s second severe drought in three years, the social and economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the current conflict have pushed an already dire situation into a “catastrophe.” We need to sustain our efforts and continue our Food Aid Program with your support, moving on to Nuristan next.
