Hi! Marcia from Saving Dogs' Lives (SDL) dog rescue here. I've been helping to rescue animals in an official capacity for about 1.5 years now. There is so much joy & sadness in this world & even in our own communities. As much as we do our best to help rescue animals in our community of Benicia/Vallejo, CA & surrounding communities, specifically dogs through SDL, there is still so much that needs to be done, starting with educating and providing assistance when & where needed. There are still frequent posts of dogs found wandering the streets lost or abandoned, dogs tied to posts or dogs being mishandled in an abusive manner, as well as folks who are having to surrender their pets due to unforseen circumstances. We as a 100% volunteer based group (no paid staff) are in a desperate financial hardship. We are having increasingly more difficulty providing some of the truly necessary care needed, and the demand for our services isn't slowing down. ZIGGY is 4 months old German Shepherd puppy who has had an extremely rough start at life. She was found abandoned on a cold rainy day, in a box in a park on Christmas Eve 2024. She was rescued by a couple and brought to Saving Dogs' Lives Courtesy Assist Program. She was placed in SDL's foster-adopt program. She was bathed, housed and fed. She began to thrive, putting on some much needed weight (found at 11 pounds, increased to 22.8 pounds & increasing with her size). She loves people and other dogs. Unfortunately, her balance and stability have been an issue due to an unevenness in her hips. It is unknown if a birth deformation or abuse. Sadly, on February 3, 2025, Ziggy experienced a fractured hind leg femur bone when her legs gave out while receiving kisses from another larger dog, her fur brother. Ziggy likes to run around and perhaps with all of that, her hind legs could not support her. We at SDL and her foster parents are trying everything to see what can be done to help and save Ziggys' very young life. It will be at a very high price. Ziggy is in a lot of pain and surgery will be required, but very expensive. We are reaching out for any funding you might be able to spare, to help this very, very sweet, loveable, yet helpless and innocent puppy out so that she can grow up and thrive like she so rightly deserves. Saving a female Husky being sold on Craigslist was a kind gesture by a couple in Vallejo, CA. Sadly, they were never informed she was pregnant. So much for transparency. Now, they're doing everything to raise 12 Shepsky puppies, already 7 months old. At 2 months of age they reached out for help to no avail. SAVING DOGS' LIVES non-profit dog rescue organization of Solano County in California only found out about their story very recently. We at SDL are trying to do what we can to help, but we are running out of funds. Only 3 received their first set of vaccinations. Our goal is to get all 12 fully vaccinated, chipped & spayed/neutered plus receive proper training along with a furever home. Your help is of an essence to accomplish these goals. SAVING DOGS' LIVES (SDL) is a non-profit dog rescue organization of Solano County (EIN #99-1073319). We are EXTREMELY concerned about the SoCal fires and about all the animals, adult, and young, who are abandoned, abused, neglected and surrendered, just about everywhere & everyday. Just recently, I met a couple who rescued a female Husky from Craigslist. They were not informed that she was pregnant. She had 11 puppies. Now the landlord is demanding they dump the dogs. Unbelievable! SDL is doing a Courtesy Assist with their vet care (eg., spay/neuter, vaccinations & chipping). Our goal at SDL is for our community and surrounding communities to help keep animals from ever entering a shelter. A shelter that will destroy who they are. Our plan is for every dollar donated, HALF will go to the Pasadena Humane Society to help fire victims (animals). Please show your support today.

Hi! This is Marcia from Saving Dogs' Lives, a non-profit dog rescue organization (EIN #99-1073319) in Solano County. Here I am once again, reaching out to you, pleading for help. I have created this GoFundMe campaign to help an innocent dog who has suffered greatly at the hands of EVIL people. This poor girl is so special. She is a survivor! She has been rescued by amazing people from a dog fighting ring. She was a bait dog. Yes, a bait dog! Her wounds tell you her story of immense suffering. She should never have had to experience this. No one should. These people need to be stopped. This poor girl desperately needs your help to heal and recover. She requires extensive veterinary care to ensure she is healthy despite her external wounds. She will also require help to get through the emotional trauma. PLEASE, any spare change will make a huge difference.

It's the Holiday Season, and so many aren't able to spend time with a loving family in a cozy warm home. There is truly a huge number of pets that could use a little holiday spirit of love from the heart. They need to know they are thought of and loved even if not able to provide a home. Love is shown in so many ways and forms.
