Save Ziggy: Fund Her Life-Saving Surgery
Deducible
ZIGGY is 4 months old German Shepherd puppy who has had an extremely rough start at life. She was found abandoned on a cold rainy day, in a box in a park on Christmas Eve 2024. She was rescued by a couple and brought to Saving Dogs' Lives Courtesy Assist Program. She was placed in SDL's foster-adopt program. She was bathed, housed and fed. She began to thrive, putting on some much needed weight (found at 11 pounds, increased to 22.8 pounds & increasing with her size). She loves people and other dogs. Unfortunately, her balance and stability have been an issue due to an unevenness in her hips. It is unknown if a birth deformation or abuse. Sadly, on February 3, 2025, Ziggy experienced a fractured hind leg femur bone when her legs gave out while receiving kisses from another larger dog, her fur brother. Ziggy likes to run around and perhaps with all of that, her hind legs could not support her. We at SDL and her foster parents are trying everything to see what can be done to help and save Ziggys' very young life. It will be at a very high price. Ziggy is in a lot of pain and surgery will be required, but very expensive. We are reaching out for any funding you might be able to spare, to help this very, very sweet, loveable, yet helpless and innocent puppy out so that she can grow up and thrive like she so rightly deserves. Thank you!❤️
