My name is Marcia with Saving Dogs' Lives (SDL), a non-profit dog rescue organization in Solano County. We are primarily a dog rescue that has extended a branch of ourselves beyond canines because of the incredible need for help for felines and other small exotic animals (e.g., rabbits, guinea pigs) in our community and surrounding communities. Many pets are sadly and unexpectedly being surrendered, dumped, or are in abusive situations. Our goals have been to help animals by keeping them out of shelters or from being euthanized unnecessarily. Unfortunately, like most rescues, we are suffering serious financial hardship. Fundraisers, grants, and sponsorships have helped, but are not a guarantee. ALL funds go to the animals' vet care, supplies, grooming (dogs), and professional training (dogs). Our programs at SDL are very different from most rescues to ensure successful transition from foster to adoption and beyond.
Donations are a tax write-off.
