Do you know someone who can help?
We DESPERATELY NEED A GENERAC GENERATOR!
We were evacuated last year due to the LNU fire. That was the worst night of my life.
We evacuated over 200 sanctuary animals, many who are blind and couldn’t walk, to a safe location. The police were yelling at us to leave as we heard propane tanks exploding and sparks were raining from the sky, but I wasn’t going anywhere without the animals. Unfortunately, we did have to leave behind some sheep and the alpaca, who we couldn’t get to load.
Thankfully after 3 days of living in our cars at the property where our animals were, we were able to come home. Our sanctuary was unscathed.
When the fire came, PG&E turned off our power. This meant we had no water. We could not fight the fire or flood the pastures that the animals were left in. Our well will not run without electricity. We desperately need a Generac generator so that we are never in that position again. Also, in California when it gets too hot we have rolling blackouts where they turn off our power. When the power is off we cannot run our misters or sprinklers for the animals and we are unable to fill water trough.
Our well is a irrigation well and needs a huge power source to start, a regular generator will not work.
Would you please help us with a donation towards a generac generator? The quote we have is $14,000. This is not something we want, it is something we need. This is essential in keeping our rescues sanctuary animals safe during the fire season and hot weather.
We are a 501(c)(3) so any donation will be tax deductible. Please PM me or email me at [email redacted] if you know of someone or a business who can help us, or if you have further questions.
