Fresno Bully Rescue

Fresno Bully Rescue is a non-profit, no-kill shelter dedicated to saving and caring for dogs in need — especially those who have nowhere else to turn. Recently, our veterinary expenses have soared due to an influx of medical cases and the rising costs of care. From emergency surgeries and wound treatments to ongoing medications and routine procedures, our vet bills have grown far beyond what our regular donations can cover.

Because of this, we’ve had to temporarily pause new intakes so we can focus on the dogs already in our care and ensure they receive the treatment they need and deserve.

Your donation — no matter the size — directly helps cover these medical costs and allows us to continue providing lifesaving care to our current dogs while preparing to open our doors again to others in need.

This cute little guy was found by a good samaratin, dumped in a field left with a bowl and a bag of dog food! Instantly trusting of humans he hopped in their car to safety. Now Blackjack is in our care awaiting his forever home but he’s got a hurdle to cross: Upon intake we noticed he had a limp, and thru X-rays it was discovered that he had suffered an old injury breaking the top of his femur bone! An FHO surgery will go in and clean up the small bits of broken bone that is causing his discomfort and he’ll be ready to live out an active, happy life. Help us get this boy on the road to his bright new future!

Beefaroni (aka Beefy) was found as a stray in Fresno after suffering a brutal attack by another dog, leaving the side of his face badly injured and in desperate need of medical attention. Despite his pain, this sweet boy still has so much love to give and is all smiles!

Today, we welcomed Beefy into our rescue to ensure he gets the treatment he needs to heal. Along with surgery to repair his wound, he will also be neutered to prepare him for a brighter future.

Chevron's journey began when he was rescued by Tulare Animal Services after being found as a stray near a homeless encampment. Since coming into the care of Fresno Bully Rescue, this remarkable 3-year-old dog has shown just how special he is.

Unfortunately, due to the hardships of life on the streets, Chevron has suffered a knee injury that requires surgery to give him the chance at a long, happy, and active life. He’s a lively, spirited pup who deserves the opportunity to thrive!

It's no doubt our vet bill is our biggest monthly expense! With an average yearly intake of 200 dogs coming into our care, ensuring they receive the medical care needed to get ready for adoption is our top priority. This typically includes spays, neuters, vaccines, wound care, cherry-eye, entropion, skin-issue treatments (mange), and even life-saving emergency surgeries!

Goonie was originally brought to the Wildomar (CA) Animal Shelter as a stray at about 13 week old, rescued by Fresno Bully Rescue and is being fostered by @packofpibbles.

This sweet, happy puppy was brought in with an obvious facial abnormality that seems to affect his breathing and one eye. We do not know if it was caused from a trauma or a congenital disorder. Goonie is in need of surgery to fix his one eye (Entropion), correction for his Elongated Soft Pallet and Everted Laryngeal Saccule Removal and Stenotic Nares to help open his nostrils - all to help correct his breathing difficulties so that he can go on to live a normal, happy and healthy life! He will also be neutered while in surgery. Goonie has been unable to get proper sleep as he struggles to breath while resting. This surgery would be life-changing for him! Goonie otherwise is a normal, happy, playful pup. He loves children and other dogs. Once he is healed from surgery he will be ready to find his forever home through Fresno Bully Rescue.
