At Fresno Bully Rescue, every dog who comes through our doors has a different story—but they all have one thing in common: before they can begin their next chapter, they need proper veterinary care.

Veterinary care is by far one of the largest expenses we face as a rescue, and like so many other costs, those expenses continue to rise. With dozens of dogs depending on us at any given time, even routine care adds up quickly—and when unexpected medical needs arise, the bills can become overwhelming.

Every dog we take into our care receives the veterinary attention they need before being placed up for adoption. This can include wellness exams, vaccinations, spay or neuter surgery, microchipping, medications, testing, and treatment for any existing medical conditions. Some dogs come to us relatively healthy and simply need routine care. Others arrive with infections, injuries, skin conditions, dental needs, masses, orthopedic issues, or illnesses that require additional testing, treatment, surgery, and follow-up care.

No matter what they arrive needing, our goal is the same: give each dog the care they deserve and the best possible chance at a healthy, happy future.

For a nonprofit rescue, there is no insurance plan covering these expenses. Every exam, medication, diagnostic test, procedure, and surgery ultimately comes out of the funds we work hard to raise through donations, fundraising events, and the generosity of our community.

That's why we created the Fresno Bully Rescue Veterinary Care Fund

Donations to this fundraiser will go directly toward helping cover veterinary expenses for the dogs currently in our care and the dogs who will need us next. Whether it's $10 toward vaccinations, $25 toward medications, or a larger gift that helps us tackle a surgery or unexpected medical case, every donation makes a difference.

When you help with our veterinary bills, you're doing more than paying an invoice. You're helping a dog heal. You're helping them become adoption-ready. You're helping us say "yes" to the next dog who needs a safe place to land.

And ultimately, you're helping us continue the work we've dedicated ourselves to—giving deserving dogs the second chance they deserve.
