Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre

Every survivor deserves to be listened to, believed, and supported. The Centre offers counseling, helplines, advocacy, and long-term emotional support — services that can be life-changing, but rely heavily on donations to remain free and accessible.

Running is a challenge, but it’s nothing compared to what many survivors go through. I’m hoping to turn the miles I run into meaningful support for those who need it most. Even £1 can help contribute towards keeping vital services running — whether that’s supporting a counseling session, training volunteers, or keeping helplines open.

I am running the Cambridge Half Marathon 2026 to raise money for the Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre.

The Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre provides free specialist support services to help female survivors of rape and sexual violence across Cambridgeshire.

I’m taking on a Hyrox event on December 5th and raising money for Cambridge Rape Crisis, a charity that has been a lifeline for me over the past few months.

September 4th marks a year since the last time I was assaulted by my ex-boyfriend. That’s why today, I’m launching this fundraiser — as a stand against domestic and sexual violence, and as a way to give back to an organisation that supports survivors like me every single day.

Cambridge Rape Crisis provides vital, often life-changing support to women and girls affected by sexual violence. Their work is crucial, and I want to help them continue reaching those who need it most.

Some of my wonderful colleagues from bpha are joining me on a mission.

I am hitting 50 in September and want to do something challenging for myself to mark it - I want to climb Snowdon and I want to do it for a charity that is very close to my heart which is Cambridge Rape Crisis - this charity has been a huge support to a young lady (9 years old) who has had amazing support over the last 12 months following her brave disclosure of sexual assault from a family member. Cambridge Rape Crisis assign you a chIZVA who are assigned to you from the day you report a crime like this. They work with the child, visit them in school, do arts and crafts with them, support the parents through the legal process, come to ABE’s with you, come to court with you. They also assign you a counsellor, for all family members and give you 15 free sessions each. They work in partnership with charities who they refer you too for days out. I cannot think of such a worthy cause I personally would rather try and raise cash for. I plan to do this walk Saturday 6th September. This is a huge challenge for me so will be taking what is the easier route, however still huge for me.
