Some of my wonderful colleagues from bpha are joining me on a mission.

I am hitting 50 in September and want to do something challenging for myself to mark it - I want to climb Snowdon and I want to do it for a charity that is very close to my heart which is Cambridge Rape Crisis - this charity has been a huge support to a young lady (9 years old) who has had amazing support over the last 12 months following her brave disclosure of sexual assault from a family member. Cambridge Rape Crisis assign you a chIZVA who are assigned to you from the day you report a crime like this. They work with the child, visit them in school, do arts and crafts with them, support the parents through the legal process, come to ABE’s with you, come to court with you. They also assign you a counsellor, for all family members and give you 15 free sessions each. They work in partnership with charities who they refer you too for days out. I cannot think of such a worthy cause I personally would rather try and raise cash for. I plan to do this walk Saturday 6th September. This is a huge challenge for me so will be taking what is the easier route, however still huge for me.
