Mother struck by rare flesh-eating disease

Noelle is the loving and caring mother of five year-old Grace, a beautiful girl with special needs (Down Syndrome).  Last week, Noelle was suddenly infected with Necrotizing Fasciitis. This rare disease quickly destroys the body's flesh and causes death in 25% of those afflicted. It's so rare that less than 600 people per year in the USA contract the serious strain that Noelle was afflicted with. She went into the hospital immediately when she felt the extreme pain in her legs on the evening of July 4th. Her doctor said that she would have passed away in another twelve hours or so if she hadn't had the immediate surgery when she did. The surgery was attended by fourteen doctors and assistants as they worked to remove the affected tissue. Fortunately, they did not have to amputate and were able to remove the diseased tissue. Now, she starts the long and agonizing process of rehabilitation, including multiple skin grafts in the months to come. Besides the emotional and physical pain Noelle is enduring, she is in serious need of financial assistance to help with the cost of having caregivers provide in-home cooking and cleaning. She is also trying to manage part-time care for her daughter Grace... and since Grace is a Special Needs child, it's costly to find caregivers with the necessary skills to help with Grace. Noelle has also lost all income, as she is self-employed and not able to work at this time.
