Somaliland drought relief

Somaliland is facing a devastating drought. It is estimated that already 80% of the livestock have died, and displacement and child malnutrition are on the rise. Many Somalilanders are claiming that this is the worst drought that they have experienced in their lifetimes.

We are a group of concerned people - Somalis and non-Somalis who have seen firsthand how serious this crisis is. We are raising money to deliver directly to people in need. It does not cost much to deliver essential assistance. We recently provided 10,000 litres of water to a badly affected community for only $63. But help is needed urgently now!!
We will direct all funds raised to:
- ActionAid, an international NGO working in Somaliland who have agreed to ensure that all funds that we raise go to their Somaliland programme. 80% of the funds we receive will be distributed to ActionAid's Somaliland programmes, through their office in the UK.
- Students at the Edna Adan University Hospital, who are raising funds themselves to provide food, water, and medicine to people in need. We will contribute 20% of all funds raised to the students' initiative.
Please help us to provide assistance quickly to communities in need - we are all volunteering so your money will go straight to those who need it.
