Wir sind ein Team aus drei Mädels und wollen per Boot zu den abgelegensten Dörfern entlang des Amazonas fahren und dort das Problem der Umweltverschmutzung durch Plastikmüll und weitere soziale Probleme anpacken. Dazu haben wir mit einfachsten Mitteln unser Boot „YacuSachaWayra“ mit Hilfe von Einheimischen gebaut und planen nun den Ablauf der Reise. Wir sind für jede Unterstützung dankbar und werden das Geld zu 100% für die Umsetzung unseres Projektes einsetzen.

Short Summary:
We are a team of three girls who want to travel by boat to the most remote villages along the Amazon to tackle the problem of environmental pollution from plastic waste and other social problems. For this purpose, we have built with the simplest means our boat "YacuSachaWayra" with the help of locals and now plan the course of the journey. We are grateful for any support and will use the money 100% for the implementation of our project.

Wer sind wir?
Wir, Lisa (23), Selina (22) und Alba (21) sind eine Gruppe von Träumern/-innen, Abenteuern/-innen und Botschafter/- innen. Gemeinsam starten wir ein Projekt offen für jeden der kommen möchte um Teil von uns zu sein. Wir sind tief im peruanischen Dschungel, bei schwüler Hitze und Monsunregen in einem kleinen Dorf namens Nueva Luz, gelegen an einem der größten Flüsse Perus, dem Ucayali.
Worum geht es bei unserem Projekt und was wollen wir erreichen?
Nach einer langen und aufregenden Reise mit viel Geduld und Vertrauen ins Universum hat uns der Weg zu einem unglaublich schönen Ort gebracht. Die wunderschönen Menschen die hier im Dschungel leben, helfen uns dabei unser Boot mit dem Namen „YacuSachaWayra“ zu verwirklichen.
Mit dem Boot wollen wir zu all jenen Communities im tiefsten Dschungel entlang des peruanischen Amazonas reisen, zu welchen normalerweise keine konventionelle Hilfe vordringt. Wir wollen mit unserem reisenden Projekt genau diese Menschen erreichen und mit viel Herz helfen wo auch immer wir können.
Ein wichtiges Thema, das uns persönlich stark am Herzen liegt, ist das Müll Problem.
Wo in Deutschland an jeder Straßenecke ein Mülleimer zu finden ist, sucht man in Peru vergebens danach. Abgesehen von wenigen Stadtvierteln gibt es keine funktionierende Müllentsorgung und so wird der Müll auf die Straße geworfen oder am Stadtrand abgeliefert. Inzwischen finden Coca-Cola Flaschen, Verpackungen und Plastikbesteck ihren Weg in die ab gelegensten Dschungeldörfer, aber der Abfall findet seinen Weg nicht mehr heraus. Hinzu kommt die fehlende Umweltbildung. Noch immer ist vielen Menschen nicht bewusst, was Plastik für eine schädliche Auswirkung auf unsere Natur und ihr Leben hat.
Wir haben geplant in die Communities zu gehen um Workshops über Recycling Möglichkeiten des vielen Mülls in den Flüssen und Seen anzuregen. Wie man Müll in Kunst oder Baumaterialien verwandeln kann. Wo wir die Wichtigkeit sehen wollen wir ebenfalls die Menschen darauf aufmerksam machen ihre Umgebung, ihre Gewässer und Natur wert zu schätzen und zu beschützen. Zusätzlich wollen wir in unserer Zeit bei den Natives herausfinden welches die drängendsten Probleme ihres Alltags sind und wie wir mit unserem Projekt auch in Zukunft helfen können.
Wir haben bereits angefangen ein Boot zu bauen um unser Projekt und unseren Traum Wirklichkeit werden zu lassen. Anschließend werden den Fluss runter treiben um zu reisen wie es früher gemacht wurde ohne Verbrennungsmotor, auch um den Fluss und seine Bewohner nicht unnötig zu belasten. Der Plan ist unsere Hilfe in jede Community zu tragen, die sie benötigt.
Das Boot - YacuSachaWayra
Das Boot konstruieren wir mit einem Meister seines Handwerks (und seiner Motorsäge) in einem kleinen Dorf namens Nueva Luz in der Lagune von Yarinacocha im tiefsten Dschungel Perus.
Für den Bau verwenden wir verschiedene Hölzer die wir von Nachbarn und in der Umgebung gesammelt haben. Unser Boot hat eine Länge von 10,80m und eine Breite von 1,80m und ist im typischen Baustil eines Lasten-Bootes der Region.
Das Boot bis jetzt kann eine Crew von ca. 8-10 Helfern mitnehmen. Wir haben geplant, im Inneren des Bootes kleine Demonstrations-Projekte aus recyceltem Müll zu kreieren um den Communitys Nativos gleich praktische Beispiele zeigen zu können. Bis jetzt hatten wir auch die Idee einen Motor mit Pedal Antrieb hinten aufs Boot zu bauen.

Contamana ist eine kleine Stadt mitten im Dschungel, die nur mit dem schiff erreicht werden kann. Wir planen Mitte/Ende Januar 2019 von dort aus in See zu stechen!
Das Ziel für unsere Jungfernfahrt ist Iquitos eine Stadt mitten im Amazonas Gebiet Perus und ebenfalls nur per Schiff/Flugzeug zu erreichen. Angefangen im Fluss Ucayali werden wir von Dorf zu Dorf fahren bis zu dem Punkt and dem die zwei größten Flüsse Perus (der Ucayali und der Maranon) zusammen fließen und den Amazonas bilden. Unsere Reise von Contamana bis nach Iquitos wurde ungefähr einen Monat lang dauern. Bei dieser ersten Etappe werden wir das Projekt weiterentwickeln und anpassen, damit wir es weiter Fluss abwärts bringen können.

Auf der Suche nach verlorener Weisheit und dem Wissen lokaler Communities wollen wir Botschafter sein, die unser Wissen mit den Natives teilen und ihre Weisheiten in die Welt tragen, um das Bewusstsein für ihre alternativen Lebensweisen zu erwecken.
Unsere Vision ist es zu teilen, zu helfen, zu geben und zu lernen in den universellen Sprachen der Liebe, der Kunst und des Friedens. Wir wollen reisen um unsere Erfahrungen und unser Wissen jeder Person die mit uns in YacuSachaWayra reist individuell und als Team zu teilen. Wir wollen in den nativen Communities ankommen um zu lernen, zu wachsen und zu entdecken, um das Wissen und Weisheit in unsere Welt hinaus zu bringen und zu teilen.
Bis jetzt sind wir dabei das Boot fertig zu stellen, doch das soll nur der Anfang sein. Unser Traum ist es eine ganze Karawane zu erschaffen mit einer großen Community an Helfern und Helferinnen. Mit unserem ersten Boot und seiner Jungfernfahrt wollen wir zeigen was alles möglich ist um dann anschließend zu wachsen.

Who we are
We, Lisa (23), Selina (22) and Alba (21) are a group of dreamers, adventurers and ambassadors. Together we're starting a project open to anyone who wants to come and be part of us. We are deep in the Peruvian jungle, in the humid heat and monsoon rains in a small village called Nueva Luz, located on one of the largest rivers in Peru, the Ucayali.
What is our project about and what do we want to achieve?
After a long and exciting journey, with a lot of patience and trust in the universe, the road has taken us to this incredibly beautiful place. The beautiful people who live here in the jungle help us to build our boat named "YacuSachaWayra".
With the boat, we want to travel to all those communities in the deepest jungle along the Peruvian Amazon, to which usually no conventional aid is coming through. We want to reach exactly those people with our traveling project and help with a big heart wherever we can.
An important topic, which is very important to us personally, is the plastic garbage problem.
Where in Germany a garbage can be found on every street corner, in Peru you'll hardly find any. Apart from a few neighbourhoods there is no functioning waste disposal and so the garbage is thrown on the street and dumped to the outskirts. Meanwhile, Coca-Cola bottles, packaging and plastic cutlery find their way to the most remote jungle villages, but the garbage can not find its way out again. Added to this is the lack of environmental education. Many people are still unaware of what plastic has in terms of harmful effects on our nature and their lives.
We have planned to go into the communities to initiate workshops on recycling possibilities for the islands of garbage in the rivers and lakes. We'll show the locals how to turn trash into art and building materials. Wherever we see the importance, we also want to make people aware of their environment, their waters and nature value and protect. In addition, we want to find out which their most pressing problems of everyday life are and how we can help with our project in the future.
We have already started to build a boat to make our project and our dream a reality. After completion we will navigate down the river, without an internal combustion engine, not to unnecessarily pollute the river and its inhabitants. The plan is to take our help to any community that needs it.
The Boat - YacuSachaWayra
We're constructing the boat with a master craftsman (and his chainsaw) in a small village called Nueva Luz in the lagoon of Yarinacocha in the deepest jungle in Peru.
For the construction we use different woods that we collected from neighbours and in the environment. Our boat has a length of 10,80m and a width of 1,80m and is in the typical architectural style of a cargo boat of the region.
The boat so far can take a crew of about 8-10 helpers. We have planned to create small demonstration projects of recycled garbage inside the boat to show practical examples to the native communities. Until now, we also had the idea to build a motor with pedal drive on the back of the boat.
The route
We're building our boat in Nueva Luz a small village of the lagoon of Yarinacocha in the Peruvian jungle. Unfortunately, due to the current security situation, we can not leave directly from here, but have to get our our boat shipped from here, 20 hours down the river, to Contamana. It is a small town in the middle of the jungle, which can only be reached by boat. We plan to set sail from there in mid / late January 2019.
The destination for our maiden voyage is Iquitos, a city in the middle of the Amazon region of Peru and also only reachable by boat / plane. Starting in the Ucayali River, we will travel from village to village to the point where the two largest rivers of Peru (the Ucayali and the Maranon) flow together to form the Amazon. Our journey from Contamana to Iquitos will take about a month. At this first stage, we will continue to develop and adapt the project so we can bring it further down the river.
Our vision
With YacuSachaWayra we want to convey peace, love and unity between the beings of this world. In search of lost wisdom and the knowledge of local communities. We want to be ambassadors who share our knowledge with the natives and bring their wisdom to the world to raise awareness of their alternative way of life.
Our vision is to share, to help, to give and to learn in the universal languages of love, art and peace. We want to travel to share our experiences and knowledge of each person traveling with us in YacuSachaWayra, individually and as a team.
So far, we are in the process of completing our boat, but this is just the beginning. Our dream is to create a whole caravan with a large community of helpers. With our first boat and its maiden voyage we want to show what is possible and want to grow afterwards.
