BIKING FOR BOOKS

Help bring books to Eleanor, Irene and Joan.  The Emily Williston Memorial Library in Easthampton is a small library that wishes to have a large reach.  I work for the Easthampton library and I want to deliver books to the members of our community who are unable to easily leave their home to browse for books.   With an electric bike pulling a trailer we could take books to community events and neighborhoods.  I could reach out to people who are home bound or don't have easy access to transportation.  We are already part way to our goal, but we need $ 3,000 to make this Book Bike Service happen.  I am going to ride my bike across country to help raise that money.  That's right, sixty year old library clerk (me) is riding from San Diego, California to Gulf Shores, Alabama to raise money for this service.  When I return, riding the electric bike to make deliveries should be a breeze.  So GoFundMe. 

$1 a mile would earn $2,487.00  okay, that's a lot
$0.10 a mile would earn  $248.70  still a lot
$0.01 a mile would be only $24.80
