Hearts without Homes: Honoring Ian

Donation protected
In lieu of flowers, we have set up a Go Fund Me campaign.  Ian died of an overdose, alone, on the streets of Atlanta.  We spent several days searching for him.  In that time, we encountered many people willing to help, who were in need of help themselves.  We would like to give back to those people.  This money will be used to aid the homeless and addicts on the streets of Atlanta.  In addition, we would like to send one boy, in particular, home to his mother in Detroit.

We will be using this money to collect personal hygiene items and necceseties for those on the streets.  We will also be giving and volunteering with 7 Bridges to Recovery, in Atlanta and The Palm House, in Athens.  If you would like to volunteer, we plan on doing this around Christmas time, this year.

Ian wanted to help others who are addicted and could not break free.  It is our sincere belief that Ian would be proud of our efforts.  In our search, we encountered so many who were homeless, addicted, and hopeless.  We were astounded and overwhelmed.  We want to do anything we can, because to help even just one would be an honor to Ian’s memory.

Ian was the best of us.  His heart was huge and he was always our peacemaker.  He was our jokester and always had us laughing.  He loved football, Union County Panthers, Georgia Bulldogs, and the New England Patriots.  He had a beautiful, sensitive, and peaceful spirit.  He was loyal beyond words and would do anything to protect those he loved.
