Sports and Piano
Well, the long of the short, we can't afford it and we can't seem to catch a break. We lost our 4th daughter this last year and our children are looking for more purpose. We believe positive activities that keep them active will help them process this. Our older 2 especially have been struggling both emotionally and aocially since this happened. Our son has no friends at school, he says it's because he doesn't play sports. He's very bright and never feels included in anything during recess and PE. He's a nerd, nothing wrong with that but he really wants to play sports or join gymnastics. Our oldest daughtet wants to play tennis, running club or join gymnastics. Our 3rd loves to dance and "do gymnastics". We want to let them join sports but we can't afford anything, even the local rec prices are an expense we cannot afford. My husband and I both moved in with my parents to get through college, we have graduated and haven't been able to get solid jobs that allow both of us to work and afford daycare. My husband has gone back to school on top of everything else after 4 yrs with no success finding a job that has a future. His jobs have not provided opportunity for him to promote and he is a very hard worker.
Overall, we just want to provide enriching activities for them and they ask us almost every day to be able to do so. We are just hoping someone could provide that help, or a lot of little donations from many. It's quite a bit of money, it could fund our children for about 6 months. Both sides of the family have problems with diabetes and obesity. We are constantly encouraging our children to be active and eat healthy to try and avoid continuing the vicious cycle. All in all we want our children ro learn how to work with other children their age, to have goals together with their teamates and to experience all the benefits that come from being a part of these recreational activities. We know this is not a need but a want. We will not tell the children unless it is successful. We don't want to get their hopes up. Thank you for your consideration.
