Team 8872 Robopocalypse is a student founded team from Santa Clara California that competes in the First Tech Challenge, a nationwide robotics competition. Besides competing, we are an active advocate of STEM education within our school and community, hosting robotics competitions ourselves, and teaching robotics to club members as well as members of our community.

This is our fourth year competing and we are proud to have made it to the West Super-regionals competitions for the first time ever! Our team has come so far in four short years and it is all thanks to our incredible team of dedicated, self taught robot enthusiasts with a passion for STEM, and our wonderful coaches Ms. Hardy and Mr. Suds who have guided us along the way.
We need your help in funding our trip to Spokane, Washington, where the West Super-regionals will be held from March 8-11, 2018. The West Super-regionals is a gathering of around a hundred teams from the West side of the USA to compete for a chance at the World Championships in Texas. The money will go towards registration, travel, and living costs.
Unlike the majority of the teams we will be facing, we are a small student run organization representing the STEM community at our school. Being able to compete at the West Super-regionals is such a rare opportunity, and with half of our team graduating this year, we may not see it again.
Our robot is our best design to date and our team is eager to compete. We would hate that this opportunity be missed due to financial issues.
