Where is Richard Neal?
Donation protected
Over the past month, members of Williamsburg Indivisible have contacted Congressman Richard Neal’s offices to request that he hold a Constituent Town Hall during the April district work period (April 7 – April 24) at the Anne Dunphy School in Williamsburg.
These requests have fallen on deaf ears. During the more than four years Rep. Neal has been our member of Congress, he has held no town halls or district office hours in any of the nine Hampshire County Hilltowns in his district. He also holds no tele-town halls.
This inaccessibility is troubling to those of us who would like to dialog with him on: tax reform, campaign finance reform, rural economic development and a host of other issues at the federal level. Yet over and over, Mr. Neal does make time for corporate lobbyists, political action committees and other donors to his campaign committee and leadership PAC. The latest is a whole weekend in New York City devoted to rubbing shoulders with special interests.
To help hold Rep. Neal accountable, we are planning to run a display ad in area newspapers calling attention to his lack of accessibility. To help underwrite the ad, contribute here!
