Western District Chip Program
The MasoniCH.I.P. Program is brought exclusively to families by dedicated Masons and their volunteers, free of charge.
It is the goal of the Western District MasoniCH.I.P Program to serve all of our communities and help protect those who may be at risk and provide assistance to emergency personal in the time of crisis.
Speaking as a father and also an emergency first responder, I can truly appreciate the stress that a family is put through in a time of crisis. Our ability to think logically when a loved one is missing is often diminished by the worries and concern we have of the unknown. Having all the vital information that is required to help bring a loved one home safely in a single package is just one less stress a parent or guardian will have to deal with during these very vital first minutes that a person has gone missing.
In order to provide this service in to our communities however, we rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses for support. Without the assistance of community-minded individuals just like you, we would not be able make help make a difference in the families we serve.

What is MasoniCh.I.P.?
The MasoniCh.I.P. Program uses modern, police-approved techniques to create a child identification kit for the ones you love.
The kit collects photos, video, voice recordings, digital fingerprints, dental impressions, saliva swabs as well as traditional statistical information (height, weight, hair and eye colour, etc.).
This information is matched to work seamlessly with Ontario's law enforcement providers. By being so compatible, the critical identifying information can be broadcast and shared more quickly than ever before to assist with the safe recovery of missing children.
What's in a MasoniCh.I.P. Kit?
When a kit prepared, their parent or guardian will receive a printed colour data sheet with several ID card inserts, a USB Thumb Drive storing all the digital information, and a sealed bag with the dental plate and cheek swab.
All this material and information is given to the parent or guardian. No information is ever stored by the MasoniCh.I.P program along with our sentiment that "We hope you never need to use it."

Each kit we provide to families cost approximately $4.00. As we do not charge for our services, we must rely upon the generosity of community-minded individuals to help us reach our goal of helping protect atleast 1000 individuals each year in Northwestern Ontario.
