Relief fund ~ for the DR People

Update: Hurricane IRMA & Hurricane MARIA went some 60-80 miles to the north of the north coast of the Dominican Republic. However, there is still major damages due to flash floods & flooding. Still now, weeks after the passings, many of the Dominican people are suffering terribly with inundated homes, loss of access roads, no safe drinking water, no electricity and many of their homes were totally destroyed. Dominicans are very resilient people and start to rebuild the next day, the problem is that they have very little money to do so. This being said, we are starting a GoFundMe fund campaign in order to collect donations, which 100% we will hand to the people in need. NO middle men, the funds collected here will be directly handed out by Annie & I.

No donation is too small, every dollar goes a long way in the DR. The average wage for a common labourer in the Dominican Republic ranges between 3,000 to 6,000 pesos per month. At the moment the Dominican Peso is currently trading at 45-46 pesos to 1 USD. This translates to an average wage of $65 to $131 US dollars per month, or $2.70usd to $5.45usd per work day (and sometimes much less). We realize that so may people are approaching you to collect donations for all the tragedies that have occurred in the last few months. But the Dominicans need our HELP. They have always welcomed us with open arms and we feel absolutely compelled to aid in any way possible. This is our home!!!

Not even once have we seen any coverage from the main stream media. Every time, they are left to tend these life changing situations on there own…

Again… A little goes a long way.. Please help us help them.. In these instances, it’s giving them a hand up, not a hand out… please donate, we beg you.
