This has been a six year battle, fought by Adri Eastman, Janet Klein, Ruth Pillsworth and Steve Johnson. They have persevered through OMB hearings, more hearings, divisional court, back to the OMB... and now it looks like they are heading back to divisional court to fight the proponents appeal for a 432 acre Limestone Quarry just outside Bobcaygeon, On
They have had support from neighbours and community members but the cost of these hearings are tremendously expensive... lawyers, land use planners, engineers, environmentalists, sound experts, water experts and so on... for six years.
They have been fortunate to have a group who have continually stood behind them, now stepping up to the plate once more by hosting a fundraiser in Beautiful Bobcaygeon called Limestone Blues 2 at The Kawartha Coffee Co. on July 12th 2018
This Go Fund Me has been set up in conjunction with the event in effort to raise some funds to help the appellants recoup some of their costs and prepare for another day in court.
