            WE DESPERATELY NEED YOUR HELP!!!

Dear Family, Friends & Friends of Friends:

           With much desperation, I am setting my pride aside and reaching out to all of you in hopes of raising a little money due to an unfortunate situation that our family is experiencing. 
           As many of you know (or may not know), my husband Rick and I are the caregivers for our three grandchildren, Cloee (13), Alyssa (11) and Skylar (10).  My husband Rick suffered a severe hip injury that has kept him away from full time work.  His injury was severe and he’s endured eight (8) hernia repair surgeries with no full recovery. 
           We’ve been receiving disability and social security benefits to supplement his income; however, we’ve recently been informed that there was a mix up with his paperwork and that those benefits will be delayed until mid-March. Although this is no fault of our own; we are at the mercy of the federal government’s bureaucracy.  I am not working due to my disability with colon cancer, and the money coming in for my benefit is not enough for us to make our required rent payments for January and February AND put food on the table for a family of five (5).  We’ve reached out to our church and other family services and have had no luck with immediate monetary assistance. 
           In expressing our dire situation to our Property Manager; we were informed that the Landlord could not accommodate our request for delayed rent payments.  As a result, we have been served with an eviction notice by the Property Manager which requires us to bring the rent current by Friday, January 27, 2017, or else we must vacate the property and face a homeless situation. 

           As you can imagine, I am beyond scared and desperately asking for your empathy and help in our time of need.  We will be back on our feet when payments resume in March; but until then, we are at the mercy of the government.  We are not asking for more than what we need, just enough to make it until back payments come in. 
           If you can find it in your heart to make a small donation to help us, no matter how small, we’d greatly appreciate it and would be beyond thankful.
