Our Family, Our Heart
We are Doug and Brooke Waller and we have a heart for the orphan. We have been blessed to adopt two amazing children from Ethiopia. Henry, age 5, has been home for four years. Theodore, age 3, has been home about a year and a half. Despite our blessings, our hearts still ache for children that do not have a family. We feel called by God to continue adopting.
The Journey
The journey to adopt each time has been arduous, yet always worth it. Along the way we’ve encountered barriers, experienced policy changes, witnessed adoption laws change, lost big sums of money due to adoption agency bankruptcy ($20k+), and waited out long delays. Nonetheless, our determination to care for the orphan has enabled us to persevere.
What’s Next?
We are adopting again, this time from Uganda! We look forward to bringing home a two year old little boy and a one year old little girl. Hooray! They are sweet as can be.
