Running London Marathon for the best charity ever

I'm running the London Marathon in April !! I'll be running for Room to Heal, an amazing small grassroots organisation based in Newington Green, where I work as a Caseworker.

Room to Heal is a specialist therapeutic organisation working with refugees and asylum seekers who have survived torture, trafficking, and other human rights violations. We are a small community, working with members to provide a broad spectrum of support, from physical and psychological therapy to practical assistance with housing, legal protection and related challenges. We offer long-term support, practical and therapeutic, tailored to each individual. Our members view Room to Heal as a family, a secure base that helps them withstand the many challenges they face.

The proposals for the government's new illegal immigration bill are disgusting, and pose a very real threat to the right to seek asylum in the UK. It is more important than ever to demonstrate solidarity with those seeking sanctuary in our communities, including the most vulnerable and marginalised, working together to overcome the inhumane injustices in the immigration system.

We rely entirely on donations and every contribution makes a huge difference and will help us to continue to provide a vital support network for our members.
