Rebuilding Nepal

Thank you for being here and we hope everything is going well for you today!

As we stay in comfort at home, a small community, unknown to most, are having trouble getting by every day.

After the strong earthquake that happened in Nepal, a small village stayed unheard until 10 days after the tragedy.

Families were torn apart, houses were broken, infrastructure were damaged. No one knew. No one could reach them. If anyone was forgotten in this world, it would be them.

This little village, called the Thangdor Village, yet had such happy and loving people. They were torn apart physically and mentally, yet children still tried hard to support their families. They tried to be the sunshine of the village.

In the picture depicted above, this dad, Bishel Tamang, has a daughter and a son. His wife left Nepal and never returned, while 2 of his children died of malnutrition. The tragedy that happened to this family has left the father with severe psychological trauma. The pain he feels could never be discribed by words and his feelings would be far beyond our imagination.

Here we are, living in such comfort and luxury, when some people are struggling so much to stay alive. I would here hope that everyone who sees this message could lend a helping hand to support me, and my team in rebuilding this small community, to regain their happiness, and support themselves.

We, as university students from USC participating in Race4Good, would be introducing a business plan which would be implemented in Nepal to help them walk through the pain, and to improve their living standards. The organizer of this competition is Linda Cruise, who has worked at the frontline for over 17 years. You can learn more about her here.

I hope that you all, who are loving and caring, could please make a small move, donate some money to help those who truly need your support.

Thank you so much for your support and we hope that you all have a nice day today :) You could also donate here.
