VVA96 Hurricane Irma Relief

After speaking with the Texas State Council of Vietnam Veterans of America,they have recommended we keep the supplies we are collecting for use in Florida after Hurricane Irma passes. When we started this project on August 28, Hurricane Irma wasn't even a dot on the Horizon. Having spoken to Florida State Council members and assessing the needs of  Floridians we are going to be keeping these supplies here in Florida and sending them to one if our Chapters in the Eastern part of the  State where it appears will take the hardest hit from Irma. It was never our intent to misrepresent anything we do and will gladly refund any donor thier money should they prefer it go to Texas rather than stay in Florida. With the help of a local trucking company we will be sending a load of relief supplies, to include non perishable food, water and cleaning supplies (Brooms, mops, buckets, rags, bleach etc).
VVA96 is a 501 making all donations tax deductible.  We are also sales tax exempt allowing us to make these purchases  without paying State sales tax. A profit/loss statement for this project will be available to any donor on request.
