Voices of North Korean Refugees

Steuerlich absetzbar
Voices of North Korean Refugees (VNKR): "Stranger" is brought to you by ENoK.

(Program details are at the bottom)

All the profits from ticket sales will go to support ENoK's effort to purchase a new home for the North Korean refugees under our care.

In addition, ENoK has launched this fundraising campaign page for those who cannot attend the event but would still like to contribute as well as those attendees who would like to contribute towards our effort even further.

ENoK, a 501(c)3 nonprofit group based in Chicago, IL, runs Empower House, which serves as a safe shelter and educational center for refugees from North Korea.  Empower House has been in operation for over four years now, and ENoK is looking for a new home for the North Korean refugees under our care.  For more information, visit:  www.enok.org/about/empower-house

Currently, the rental fees for Empower House make up close to 50% of ENoK’s annual budget and expenses.  For the upcoming 2019-2020 year, we are looking to purchase our own facility.  This will allow ENoK to become a better steward of the valuable resources that our generous supporters continue to entrust us by turning their financial gifts into an investment instead of simply using them to pay off the rent fees.  This will allow us to focus more of our resources and energy on improving our programming and services to the refugee friends besides housing.

This event will feature a story from a North Korean refugee, followed by Q&A and performances by immigrant artists.
