Syrian Refugees, Welcome to Chicago!
Chicago is now the home of several Syrian refugee families.
The Syrian Community Network (SCN) is a non-for-profit, refugee support organization that was formed by a dedicated group of Syrian American community members to support incoming and newly resettled Syrian refugees in the Chicagoland area. Our goal is to empower our families in achieving a seamless transition and relocation to the United States through connecting people to the right services and support networks.
We have already begun supporting these families with services and mentorship, in partnership with the resettlement agencies in Chicago to add the needed support to help welcome our new refugee families into the community.
Your donation will go a long way to help in supporting our families as we develop our programs – namely:
- Micro-Loan Refugee Empowerment Program
- Emergency Rent Assistance
- Ramadan Iftar
- Eid and holiday season festivities
- Back-to-School Drive
- Winter Coat Drive
- Job application and résumé-building
