Angel Tree
Donation protected
The Simon Fraser Student Society (SFSS), in conjunction with SFU's Health Sciences Undergraduate Student Union - HSUSU, is hosting its fourth annual Angel Tree project for refugees located in the Lower Mainland, particularly those within our membership.
The SFSS currently sponsors approximately 20 refugee SFU students, through the WUSC scholarship program. We aim to engage the SFU community in this project to provide opportunities for goodwill and charitable efforts for our fellow SFU community. Most of the family care items will be donated to these SFU refugee students. Any additional family care boxes and child care boxes will be donated to the larger lower mainland community through Middle Eastern Friendship Centre, which carries a large Syrian population. We have been in contact with them via email and they really appreciate our contributions! Any money collected through online donations will be used to make child care boxes, family care boxes, as well as supplying giftcards. More information about what these care boxes/gift cards consist of is provided in the link below.
Online donations can be made here. If you would like more information or would like to donate physical items, please visit: http://bit.ly/AngelTreeFB
Thank you for your participation in the Angel Tree Project, your contributions are greatly appreciated.
As a token of our appreciation, stop by at the James Douglas Study Space for Photos with Santa and complementary hot chocolate and pancakes on Friday, November 30th to warm you up on a cold winter day. We will also be accepting physical donations here!
