Help Us Protect Our Young People by providing alternative pathways guidance by unlocking their potential and inspiring change.
Every child deserves a chance to grow up safe, supported, and with hope for the future. Sadly, too many young people across our communities are becoming trapped in cycles of crime, antisocial behaviour, and violence. Families are struggling, communities are hurting — and we believe it’s time for a new approach.
We are raising funds to bring Prison Dr, a renowned youth violence prevention expert from the USA, to England. His ground breaking framework has already transformed countless lives by:
Helping young people break free from negative influences
Supporting parents with practical strategies to manage challenging behaviour
Training community leaders in proven methods to guide and inspire change
Providing real alternatives to crime and antisocial behaviour
This is not just another program. Prison Dr’s methods have shown powerful results in the US — reducing reoffending, changing mindsets, and creating safer communities. We want to bring this hope to our young people here in England.
Why This Project Matters
Youth violence and antisocial behaviour are having a devastating impact on our communities:
In London, youth crime costs over £1 billion every year, with young Black Londoners three times more likely to be knife-crime victims. But when youth workers step in early, 90% of young people avoid reoffending.
In Leicester, violent crime rates are 47% higher than the county average, with 19,000+ violent offences in 2023 alone. Antisocial behaviour has risen by over 50% in a year.
Across Leicester and Leicestershire, Violence Reduction Units have already supported 9,300 young people since 2019, preventing thousands of violent offences and hospital admissions.
These figures prove two things:
The crisis is real.
Prevention works.
By supporting this project, you are helping us bring in proven training to empower young people, support parents, and equip community leaders with the tools to reduce youth crime and build brighter futures.
What We’re Planning
• Hosting three US Community Leaders, including Prison Dr, to deliver training sessions with community leaders, teachers, and parents.
• Running workshops with children and young people to help them:
o Cope with difficult emotions
o Challenge anger in healthy ways
o Build positive mindsets and resilience
• Equipping families and leaders with practical coping tools and proven strategies to support at-risk young people.
Why We Need Your Help
We need to raise funds to cover the flights, accommodation, and transport for the visiting team. While here, they will volunteer their time to deliver life-changing training and talks, but we need the community’s support to make it possible.
Your donation will go directly towards:
✈️ Flight costs for the visiting team
Accommodation during their stay
Local transport so they can reach families and communities in need
The Impact of Your Support
With your help, we can:
• Train community leaders to continue this work long after the program ends
• Support parents with coping mechanisms to strengthen families
• Empower children and young people to make positive life choices
• Reduce crime and antisocial behaviour in our communities
Together, we can stop young lives being lost to the streets. Together, we can give hope, support, and a brighter future to the next generation.
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. Please share and support if you can.
