Zahra is a 19-year-old daughter, diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) a very aggressive form of blood cancer. She has already started treatment, but doctors have now informed us that a bone marrow transplant is critical for her survival. Because of her condition and cultural background, Zahra is a parda-daar (modest & conservative) girl, and her family has requested that we do not share her picture. She is cherished, respectful, and beloved by everyone who knows her. Her Family Situation Zahra’s father passed away, leaving her mother as her only caregiver and sole support.
