What they care about

Help Zen Cat Sanctuary relocate 180 cats after losing our home. Together, we can preserve their community and build a secure future.

First, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you. The outpouring of love, donations, shares, messages, and support we've received since announcing that Zen Cat Sanctuary must relocate has been overwhelming in the best possible way. We are incredibly grateful to every person who has donated, shared our story, and helped spread the word. Your kindness means more than we can express. While we have made progress, we still have a long way to go. The reality is that without additional support, we literally have nowhere to go. Finding a suitable space for the sanctuary and safely relocating the cats will require resources beyond what we currently have. We are working tirelessly every day to explore every option, make connections, and secure a new home for these cats, but we cannot do it alone. Please know that we are not giving up. We will continue doing everything in our power to find a safe place where the cats can thrive and continue receiving the care they deserve. If you're able, please consider donating. If you've already donated, one of the most powerful ways you can help is by sharing our GoFundMe with friends, family, coworkers, local businesses, rescue groups, and anyone who might be willing to support our mission. Every donation, every share, and every word of encouragement brings us one step closer to securing a future for these special cats. Thank you for standing with us during this incredibly challenging time. We are deeply grateful for each and every one of you. ❤️ The Zen Cat Sanctuary Team
Thank You ❤️ I am honestly overwhelmed by the incredible outpouring of support we've received in such a short time. To everyone who has donated, shared our fundraiser, sent messages, offered encouragement, or simply kept us and the cats in your thoughts: thank you from the bottom of my heart. What could have felt completely overwhelming has instead reminded me how many people care about these cats and believe in the mission of Zen Cat Sanctuary. I've also been incredibly blessed by a few amazing people who immediately jumped in to help search for a new space for us. Knowing that others are actively looking for solutions alongside me has been a huge source of comfort and hope during a very stressful time. The cats pictured here are exactly why this fight matters. A sweet girl named Ironman came to us pregnant, injured, and caring for kittens from multiple litters. Since arriving at Zen, she has been spayed, the kittens she came in with are safe and cared for, and she is continuing to recover from her wounds. She has already been through so much, and she deserves the chance to heal in safety. Luna is an FIV+ senior kitty who has called Zen Cat Sanctuary home since August 29, 2024. She is one of many cats who depend on us not just for food and shelter, but for stability, medical care, and a place where they are accepted exactly as they are. Right now, my primary focus remains the cats. As many of you know, my days are normally spent feeding, cleaning, medicating, monitoring health issues, and making sure every cat receives the care and attention they need. The emails, phone calls, paperwork, and countless demands that come with relocating an entire sanctuary are beginning to roll in, and it's quickly becoming more than one person can handle alone. Because of that, I'm also working on bringing in more volunteers to help support the cats while I navigate everything that comes with this move. My goal is to make sure the cats continue receiving the same level of care, stability, and love they're used to while we work toward securing a safe new home for the sanctuary. If you'd like to help beyond donating, the biggest thing you can do right now is share this fundraiser. Every share helps us reach people who may not yet know about our situation. Please also consider following Zen Cat Sanctuary on Facebook, where I'll be posting updates and future needs as they arise. We still have a long road ahead, but because of all of you, I no longer feel like we're walking it alone. While I'm juggling emails, phone calls, and the logistics of relocating an entire sanctuary, the cats are blissfully unaware of all the chaos. My job is to keep it that way. From me and every cat at Zen Cat Sanctuary, thank you for standing with us. ❤️
Zen Cat Sanctuary began on September 15, 2021, but the work behind it started long before that. Over time, I built the skills needed to care for a large number of animals and manage the daily systems that keep a sanctuary running. Today, Zen Cat Sanctuary is facing an urgent relocation, and 180 cats are depending on us to make that move safely. I’m raising funds to help secure a new permanent site and cover the costs that come with relocating the sanctuary. How the funds will be used Moving and transport for 180 cats: $6,000 Veterinary care, medications, and health checks: $10,000 Lease, deposit, or purchase costs for the new location: $15,000 Supplies, food, litter, and setup at the new site: $9,000 Emergency reserve for unexpected relocation costs: $5,000 Our timeline We are hoping to secure our new facility and begin phased relocation by October 1, 2026. The immediate next step is to find a suitabke space. Next, is finalizing the site agreements and preparing dedicated transport and holding supplies, and your support can help us move forward without disrupting the cats’ care. About the sanctuary Zen Cat Sanctuary exists to give cats a safe place and consistent care. Right now, the priority is protecting all 180 cats through this transition and creating stability for them at the next location. Thank you for taking the time to read, share, or support this fundraiser. Every contribution can help us protect the cats and move them safely into their next home.
