  1. YOUTHphonics A Cappella is UCLA's premier youth-focused community-service based a cappella group. Our main initiative is focused on our Keynotes program, which brings free, high‑quality music education directly to Fairfax High School, a local campus in West Hollywood where budget constraints have eliminated art funding. Every Tuesday and Friday afternoon, a few volunteers from our team deliver lessons in music theory and vocal performance to any students who wish to attend our after school program. Beyond technical instruction, we mentor students in confidence‑building and creative leadership: our program culminates in on‑campus showcases where the Fairfax students perform with us during A Cappellooza (the largest performance of UCLA a cappella groups on campus, organized by us) and our end-of-year concert for peers and family. Keynotes not only enriches students’ academic and social development but also advocates for the importance of arts education across Los Angeles. Every year, we endeavor to provide a scholarship to one of our graduating students for them to put towards their higher education. The past few years, due to various campus events and internal obstacles, we haven't been able to continue this tradition. As such, we hope that the wonderful members of our community can help us support our amazing Keynotes students and donate to our scholarship fund! Every dollar will be put towards the scholarship, and the more money we raise, the more money we can give to our chosen recipient (if we receive enough, we may give scholarships to two!).
