<div>What’s wild is that it was still on the road in 2019, which is pretty unbelievable given the state it’s in now. It’s rusty, crusty, and tired but it’s all there, and somehow still kicking after 50 years.

<div>I’ve always loved classic cars, especially old Japanese rust buckets, they’ve just got so much character. My goal is to restore this little Datsun back to full factory condition, not modified or modernized, just the way it left the showroom in the ’70s.

<div>I’m doing everything I can myself from stripping it to a rolling shell, cleaning, and learning as I go. What I really need help with is covering the professional welding and paintwork, which are way out of budget for a student.

<div>I would love to share the whole rebuild online and make a bit of a community out of it something everyone in Tipperary and across Ireland can get behind. It’s not just my car anymore, it’s Ireland’s car, and I can’t wait to show it going from a crusty shell to a proper bit of our motoring history back on the road.
