Hi, I'm Whitney Sloan, and I'm the owner of a small fitness studio called barre3 Bird Rock. September is National Suicide Prevention Month and we're joining Fitness for Hope 2026, a movement where fitness studios and gyms across the country — and around the world — come together with one shared purpose of supporting mental health, connection and hope. The studio will not collect funds for classes on September 12, but instead request donations be made to The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Studio Barre Bird Rock is raising funds for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, who is working with government agencies, nonprofit and faith-based partners, and others to respond to the devastating fires throughout Los Angeles County.

We will be collecting financial donations and non-food/food donations listed as needs on their website: https://www.lafoodbank.org/fire/
