- I’m creating this fundraiser for myself, Wenona, as I prepare to go through heart surgery in Minneapolis. This is a very overwhelming time for me, and while I’m focused on getting through surgery and healing, I’m also facing the reality that I will not be able to work during my recovery. That means the everyday bills won’t stop, and the added transportation involved with getting to and from Minneapolis for care will make things even harder to manage. It is difficult to ask for help, but I know I cannot get through this season entirely on my own. I’m asking for help so I can focus on my recovery without the constant fear of falling behind financially. The support from this fundraiser will help with medical bills, living expenses, and transportation costs while I’m unable to work.
